Hell Quarter
This school year felt like it zoomed by, especially during the 3rd Quarter. With classes ending earlier than expected, it seemed like time flew by in a blink. It felt rushed, like we were trying to catch up with lost moments.
I jumped into the 3rd Quarter with a mix of nerves and excitement as I dove into Journalism training. The prospect of writing for the school paper was both daunting and exhilarating. The training sessions were intense, and I found myself juggling between classes and journalism responsibilities. While I missed out on some lessons, the experience of honing my writing skills and delving into journalism was invaluable. And to my surprise and delight, I bagged 1st place in the Column Writing Division Level, a feat that filled me with pride and disbelief.
As if Journalism wasn't enough to keep me on my toes, preparations for Highschool Day kicked into high gear. The days were filled with rigorous rehearsals under the scorching sun, perfecting dance moves and routines. Despite the exhaustion and occasional setbacks, the camaraderie among classmates made the experience unforgettable. We laughed, we stumbled, but most importantly, we grew closer as a team.
Amidst the hustle and bustle, the arrival of practice teachers for four subjects brought a new dynamic to our classroom environment. Adjusting to different teaching styles and personalities was a challenge, but it also provided a fresh perspective and new opportunities for learning.
But amidst the chaos, there were moments of triumph and growth. I embraced the role of an IT major, diving headfirst into HTML coding lessons in ICT. It was a steep learning curve, but the satisfaction of creating my own webpages was unparalleled. And as the quarter progressed, I found myself mastering the art of time management, balancing thematic projects, website creations, and tests with finesse. Hell week may have lived up to its name, but with the support of my classmates, we powered through, laughing and commiserating together.
Reflecting back this 3rd Quarter, it was a hell of a ride of emotions and experiences. It was a time of growth, resilience, and forging friendships. And though it flew by in the blink of an eye, the memories and lessons learned will remain etched in my heart forever. As we bid farewell to the 3rd Quarter and brace myself for the challenges of the next, I carry with me the experiences and insights gained, ready to face whatever lies ahead.
